We are incredibly proud that our founders Cass Mackenzie and Sarah Gross have been recognised as ‘Creative Sheroes: Women Driving Change’ as part of Melbourne Design Week 2022, an initiative of the Victorian Government in collaboration with National Gallery of Victoria. There was an all-star line-up of talented and inspirational women.
‘Creative Sheroes’ is the brainchild of Vanessa La Delfa who has spent many months bringing this to life. We would like to publicly thank Vanessa for inviting Cass & Sarah to be part of such a rewarding project, and for her continued work advocating and championing women within the design industry.
Melbourne Design Week had this to say:
Much work has been done to highlight Australian women in design. However, this project specifically celebrates those, who are purpose-led; using their creative expression to create a better world – be it social, environmental or otherwise.
‘Creative Sheroes: Women Driving Change’ is a digital anthology of creative women’s stories. It is an exhibition website showcasing the profiles of women from different backgrounds and creative disciplines.
For some, there is hope it will create renewed hope for the future of the creative industries in Australia, after what has been one of the most trying times in our nation’s history.
