Street Child (UK charity not-for-profit) launched in Nepal in 2015 in partnership with UNICEF to help rebuild schools in the communities worst-affected by the earthquake. Nepal suffered a catastrophic earthquake that damaged or destroyed more than 50,000 classrooms and left over a million children out of school in 2015.
In 2017, our Design Director (Cass) travelled to Nepal and volunteered with UK founded charity Street Child of Nepal to design a website for the non-for-profit organisation. The brand had an incredible mission of providing education for children in rural and urban communities across Nepal. The branding needed some consistency and impact so we wanted to help them align their internal branding to maximize their reach and efforts. We worked with them to refine their branding, the development of their brand guidelines for their internal team to follow, photography art direction, and created their website to stand alone from the UK mother brand.
At Storyfolk, working with brands, charities, not-for-profits and organisations who make a meaningful difference in the community is a driving force for us to do what we do. We feel fortunate that our skillset as creatives has allowed Street Child of Nepal to continue their incredible work supporting 4,000 children and over 1,000 teachers, parents and community members across 200 schools in earthquake-impacted communities.
