Renewable energy is exciting, innovative and aims to disrupt the traditional energy sector completely. The competition in the energy market in the Netherlands was either traditional corporate or lacked personality. This left a clear opening to launch Horizon NL into the market with vibrancy and charisma while maintaining a professional feel to showcase their expertise and knowledge.
Commitment and community are two of the core pillars of the Horizon NL which were embedded into the brandmark design.
The intersection of these two pillars is fused into the brandmark reflecting Horizon NL’s brand values of connection, community and commitment. The triangle within the two semi-circles creates the delta symbol; the symbol for measurable change and innovation to highlight Horizon NL’s persistent pursuit of innovation within business and renewable energy.
A clear, comprehensive and digitally-focused set of guidelines helped Horizon NL’s internal and external partners bring the brand to life across various channels.
We created several key communication pieces from brand templates, stationery, signage and website design. We designed the brands secondary language to be refreshing and rejuvenating allowing the brand to show their friendly tone to the world while also being very flexible. This flexibility was important for the brand to be able to reactive to the growing needs of their audience. We worked with the Horizon NL team on the creation of a suite of graphic colleges using the brands photography paired with the curved visual language.
The launch of Horizon NL was incredibly successful with the brand being inundated with projects and inquiry from the day they opened their doors. They’ve since been able to continue their mission to help transform more businesses and individuals across The Netherlands to renewable energy.
