We were fortunate to be selected to create the brand identity of Ethical Clothing Australia’s inaugural Ethical Clothing Australia Week to celebrate and promote Australian ethical fashion and ethical clothing standards to the fashion and textile industry.

The events stimulate and celebrate the Australian ethical fashion and clothing industry while providing employment, networking, professional and educational opportunities for individuals, businesses, designers, and garment technicians. Using the 20-years of history and industry connections, ECA was able to amplify the Australian ethical clothing industry’s voice by introducing panels, events, and conversations pushing discourse of ethical clothing and manufacturing within Australia.

ECA Week’s brand identity needed to reflect the ethical clothing industry’s growth and evolving requirements while also paying homage to the mother brand (Ethical Clothing Australia). We did this by utilising the iconic stitched “e” of the mother brand paired with a stacked wordmark to reflect the industry’s growth. With a strong digital focus, we needed the logo to be adaptable for different screens and devices. The blue colour palette reflects the event’s mission of inspiring and celebrating the industry using creative-thinking and the latest industry insights. This “Blue skies” thinking became a cornerstone for the identity that allowed a strong identity for the event that complemented the mother brand and had room to grow.
