A Year of Transformation and Impact

As we say goodbye to 2023, we reflect on what’s been quite a remarkable year at Storyfolk. This year has been a transformative chapter marked by a diverse mix of projects, industry recognition, and a resolute commitment to making a positive impact within the not-for-profit, community, and health sectors.

Work with impact 

We’ve worked on some truly meaningful projects, delving into the creation of an extensive book, intricate illustrations, dynamic animations, engaging infographics and immersive digital experiences. We’ve worked on co-design projects, workshops and long-term strategies that contribute to a better tomorrow.

Last but not least, we craft some really unique brands backed by strategy and thoughtful input from our clients designed to connect with a diverse audience. Our commitment to excellence goes beyond industry expertise; it’s about creating unique brands, strategies, and experiences that resonate with real people.

In every facet of our work, we have prioritised storytelling, empathy, and building meaningful partnerships with our clients. Our clients are industry experts in their fields, so we loved absorbing their knowledge and leveraging that as part of the final outcomes. By infusing these elements, we not only crafted exceptional solutions but also forged remarkable partnerships.

Shaping Conversations: National Rebrand of the National Centre for Action on Child Sexual Abuse.

A standout moment of 2023 was our involvement in the national rebrand of the National Centre for Action on Child Sexual Abuse. Beyond being a powerful rebrand, it symbolises a collective opportunity to reshape the conversation on child sexual abuse within Australia. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the National Centre team for their ongoing partnership, trust, and genuine friendship that blossomed throughout this comprehensive undertaking. We mean it, thank you.

Leading the Charge in Not-for-Profit Branding

Being acknowledged as a leader at top agency in the not-for-profit branding space on both national and international stages has been a highlight of 2023. It reflects our commitment to making a positive difference. It inspires us to continue pushing boundaries, creating work that is refreshingly different and driving change through thoughtful strategy and impactful work.

Global Recognition

This year, we went head-to-head with some phenomenal agencies, studios and consultancies, and are proud to have collected a few new trophies for our work this year. We are also incredibly proud to represent women in the design community on a local, national and international level.

Global Impact: Representing Australian design globally, we proudly won two Clutch Global Awards in both ‘Branding’ and ‘Corporate Branding’ highlighting our commitment to creating the brands of tomorrow. This is something we are very proud of being able to highlight the innovation of Australian design on an international stage. 

National Prowess: Closer to home, we received the honour of a Melbourne Design Award Silver for Tech Branding, another for Illustration and Typography, and an honorary mention for the huge category “Retail Branding” going up against the likes of Unilever. We also won a silver at the Sydney Design Award for Tech Branding of SpaceTech platform, Open Galactic developed by Saber Astronautics

Local Celebrations: We were named finalists in the Victorian Premier’s Design Awards placing us within the top 1% in the state of Victoria for communication design.  We were also recognised for our business success in the Geelong Business Excellence Awards, where we were recognised among the top 5 organisations in the region of Geelong, The Bellarine and Surf Coast for “Emerging Business” and “Corporate Social Responsibility.”

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Clients

To our amazing clients who trust us to bring their visions to life, our sincere appreciation goes out to you. Your partnership enables us to highlight our work in spaces that matter most. We have formed some really strong partnerships this year, and for that, we are incredibly thankful. We really immerse ourselves into the work, so it’s nice to reflect on the year that has been and realise many of these partnerships have transcended client/agency dynamics and moved into the realm of professional friendships.

New project work.

As the year winds down, we’re taking a moment to recharge and spend quality time with loved ones over the Christmas break. Our creative batteries are getting a well-deserved boost, and we can’t wait to return to the studio refreshed and ready to tackle exciting projects.
